Knitting Techniques – Cable Knitting

Class Description
Second in a series of technique classes, this class is designed to introduce students to cable knitting, starting with the most basic and building to more complex designs. Students will learn how to knit three different cable patterns. The results are three wonderful cable swatches that can serve as reference tools for future projects.

Pre-requisite Skills:
Cast on, Bind off, Knit, and Purl

Kit and Pattern, handouts (included)
Cascade 220 worsted for three swatches

Additional Supplies / Materials (available if needed at 10% discount):
4.5 mm (US #7) needles (circulars or straights)
Stitch markers

Please arrive 20 minutes early for the first class if you need to purchase supplies for the class.

Preregistration is required.

Class Policies

  • Fees are due at the time of registration. If a student needs to cancel, we will try to reschedule you into another class or draw from a waiting list, if available. A student may find a substitute fpr their seat without penalty.
  • If the minimum of students does not register at least 7 days prior to the first day of class and the class needs to be cancelled, all fees will be fully refunded or applied to another class of the student’s choice.
  • Only registered students may sit in on the class. As such, children or guardians (depending on the class) may not sit in unless they have paid for a full registration.
  • All students are assumed to have the pre-requisite skills listed on the class sheet.
